This Is Not Your Avg. Yellow Abelia

By Tim  |  October 14th, 2011

I know, on the internet this plant looks like a lot of other yellow leafed Abelias, but' it's not. In the Spring it has beautiful copper-orange foliage. As summer progresses it turns  to lime and then yellow. It starts flowering in mid-summer and    goes right until frost. And unlike most others, it has FRAGRANT flowers!! I love the hot pink bracts that remain after flower flowers drop. I suspect this has a good dose of A. Chinensis blood in it because it the hardiness A x granifolia I've grown, plus its fragrance. Has any one else tried this? If so share your opinions!
