Chamaecyparis lawsoniana
A hardy variety of Oregon Cedar that was selected in Lake County Ohio. This tough, narrow pyramidal evergreen has attractive foliage with weeping tips similar to that of Eastern Hemlock. It's a great alternative to that plant in areas affected by Hemlock wooly adelgid. Shade tolerant and deer resistant.
Prefers moist, well-drained neutral to slightly acidic soil. Little pruning is needed; dead branches may be trimmed off in spring.
