Description

With its big, peony-like buds and misty blue and white blooms, Blue Bunny™ hydrangea always garners compliments in our trial gardens. It forms its flowers buds on new wood and so blooms reliably every year, even in the colder parts of its range. Attractive foliage, strong stems, and vigorous growth. A very nice, unexpected offering to add to your hydrangea program.

Soil

Moist, well drained soils are best.

Pruning

Little pruning is required. In cold climates, cut back any winter damaged portions after new growth has begun for the season. In warmer climates, thin out older stems every few years to keep growth young and vigorous.

Growing Tips

Blooms reliably even after harsh winters and in shaded conditions. Later blooming than most hydrangeas; be patient as this unique display is well worth the wait.
