Huge blooms don't flop!
This adaptable native plant produces huge flowers (as much as 12" across) that open green, then mature to white before turning an attractive jade-green that stays until frost. Reliable and beautiful. Very cold hardy Incrediball blooms on new growth so even very cold winters won't keep it from blooming. The flowers are held upright on very sturdy stems, so they don't flop like 'Annabelle' will.
Prune back in late winter to encourage strong new growth and flowering. Flower color is not affected by soil pH. Best in moist, well drained soil but adapts to most sites.
TRULY UNBELIEVABLE! I BOUGHT THEM FROM A CATALOGUE AND THEY WERE DELIVERED VIA MAIL. PLANTED THEM (SMALL STEMS) AND THEY DID NOT BLOOM THE FIRST YEAR. GROWTH OCCURED THE SECOND YEAR AND WAS UNREAL. THEY REALLY ARE BEEFY STEMMED AND HUGE FLOWER HEADS. THE NEIGHBORS HAVE HYDRANGEA ENVY. MUST GET MORE!
