In Check™ Plant Program
Whether they learn about them from a reputable source, like cooperative extension, or a less reliable and more sensational source, like social media, more and more people are becoming aware of invasive plants. But it’s a vast topic, one that is difficult for even our industry to have a solid grasp on, never mind homeowners who know little to nothing about plants. In the same spirit as our Deer Proof™ collection, we’re pleased to introduce the In Check program.
The In Check designation will appear on tags of the following plants, alongside the common name, so it’s clear that these are varieties they can feel confident buying. After all, even if the species isn’t invasive in their area, no one wants to deal with extra seedlings if they can help it, so they also appeal to those seeking low-maintenance landscaping.
In Check plants will be backed by marketing support starting 2025, educating home gardeners on the benefits of these plants and generating demand.
