Description

Scarlet blooms for spring. Make a bold choice for spring color: Sister Redhead® cytisus. Soil

Thrives in rocky, dry soils - good drainage is a must.

Pruning

Prune to shape after flowering if desired. Remove oldest stems periodically to encourage new growth, which flowers most prolifically.

Specimen; container gardens; mixed borders.

Growing Tips

Cytisus is highly deer resistant and thrives best in dry, sunny conditions. We do not recommend it for the Northwest.
