Description

'Picta' kerria has all the seasons covered. Creamy white variegation and blue-green leaves combine nicely with the bright yellow, rose-like flowers of spring. Like many variegated plants, it will sport a green branch or two, which should be removed. Attractive green stems add winter interest.

Growing Tips

Kerria is perhaps the best shrub for shade, producing colorful flowers and vivid green stems even in low light. It tolerates full sun, however, flowers are short-lived in such conditions. Benefits from periodic rejuvenation pruning.
