Description

Evergreen beauty for shade. Brighten up shady spots with the unique variegation of Aucuba ‘Picturata.’ Each glossy, leathery leaf is splotched with a large, luminous yellow spot in the center and starry dots in the margins. This warm climate evergreen may survive in zone 6 in a protected area but is reliably hardy in USDA zone 7. Deep maroon flowers add interest, but this is primarily grown for its foliage and shade tolerance.
