Soil

Thrives in dry conditions - perfect drainage is imperative.

Pruning

May be trimmed or pruned after flowering. Benefits from rejuvenation pruning every 4-6 years to encourage new growth, which is more floriferous than old stems.

Uses

Groundcover, container, mass planting, border, rock gardens, to cascade over a wall. This is a very interesting addition to perennial gardens or along the edge of mixed borders. It has a fantastic texture even when not in bloom.

Growing Tips

Prune to shape after flowering. You may need to trim back some branches with tip die-back after harsh winters. Once established, survives in drought and heat very well.
