Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Rise Up Amberness® Rose Earns A.R.T.S. Recognition
Rise Up Amberness® rose has earned a Local Artist award in the American Rose Trials for Sustainability (A.R.T.S.) 2027 rose trials, adding to the growing recognition Proven Winners® ColorChoice® roses have received in performance-based evaluations.
To determine top performers, A.R.T.S. adjudicators evaluate roses for pest resistance, drought tolerance, low maintenance, vigor, and overall beauty across five climate regions in the U.S. To receive a Local Artist award, a cultivar must perform equal to or better than established industry standards in its region.
Rise Up Amberness® rose earned its "Local Artist" designation in three climate regions: A, Dfa and Dfb. This shrub rose, categorized as a mini climber, reaches 3-5' tall and 2-3' wide, making it a great choice for cottage gardens and mixed plantings. Bred by Christopher Hugh Warner in the U.K. and introduced in North America by Spring Meadow Nursery, Rise Up Amberness is admired not only for its full, sculpted amber-colored blooms but also for a lovely light scent.
This recognition reflects Spring Meadow Nursery's commitment to supporting sustainable, performance-driven breeding for the Proven Winners® ColorChoice® line of ornamental shrubs. Rise Up Amberness rose is a strong example of what that approach looks like in practice: an internationally bred variety that has proven its resilience and beauty across multiple U.S. climate regions.
A full report on the 2027 A.R.T.S. trial results, titled "Lucky 13," was recently published in Nursery Management magazine.
