Description

This variety has been replaced by Bloomerang® Dwarf Pink lilac, which offers better color, stronger reblooming, and improved disease resistance. It is also a superior production plant.

Like the rest of the series, Bloomerang® 'Pink Perfume' has the same bloom pattern, flowering abundantly in spring and then agin in mid-summer through frost. This mildew-resistant variety has a compact growth habit and elegant, small leaves that make it the perfect shrub for smaller landscapes and gardens.

Soil

Prefers neutral to alkaline soils, but is fairly adaptable. Good drainage is imperative.

Pruning

Blooms on old and new wood - prune after spring bloom if desired. Doing so will delay rebloom but also encourages it.

Uses

Hedges; mixed borders; foundation plantings; specimen.

Growing Tips

Will rebloom without being trimmed after spring bloom; however, removing the seed heads after initial bloom neatens appearance.
