Description

This narrow upright shrub with its fluffy, feather-like foliage is not only cool, it's also a tough landscape plant: heat tolerant, drought tolerant, and, as part of our Deer Proof program, it’s never touched by deer. The bonus of dainty blue summer flowers adds to the appeal and attracts tons of pollinators. Featherman™ vitex’s useful, taller-than-wide form makes it a perfect option for a space-saving hedge or screen, but it can also be used as a stand-alone shrub to create a statement.

Growing Tips

May die back to the ground in winter in colder climates, which will naturally limit its height (new wood blooming ensures flowers each summer, however). In warmer areas, where dieback is minimal, prune as needed to develop desired shape.
