Description

Spice up the landscape with this graceful, fast-growing, own-root Japanese maple (Acer palmatum)! Already a hit in Europe, the ever-changing color of Hot Chana Japanese maple’s foliage sets it apart: leaves emerge bright red in spring, which darkens to a chocolate-red before turning green. All season, new growth continues to emerge red before the whole tree blazes brilliant scarlet in autumn.

Growing Tips

Japanese maples are relatively adaptable in terms of growing conditions. In cold or exposed sites, they should be sited where they get some protection from the harshest winter weather.
