Compact habit
Glossy foliage
Disease resistant

Description: A crazy-cool cherry laurel, Jade Turtle^® ensures year-round interest in the landscape. The white blooms in spring are a delightful added bonus to the large, rounded, dark, glossy leaves. It has excellent disease resistance, and its dense bowling ball habit makes it a perfect choice to use like you would a boxwood: hedges, edging, decorative containers, and formal plantings. Like a boxwood, this Prunus laurocerasus is not a fast grower, but its tidy, contained habit does not require pruning or much spacing in production. Jade Turtle^® cherry laurel is another remarkable plant from our friends at Minier Nursery in Angers, France.

General Care

Soil

Any average soil will do, provided it is well-drained.

Pruning

Blooms on old wood; prune after flowering. If flowering isn't important, may be pruned as needed, though its naturally compact habit should require little to no maintenance.
