- Description
Hydrangea lovers looking for something new and different will find it in this compelling H. aspera selection with velvety, deep purple foliage. Hailing from the mountains of China, its large leaves give an almost tropical look to the landscape. Lacecap flowers in mid-summer have pink sterile florets and purple-blue fertile florets. Plants survived long periods of single-digit temperatures here in West Michigan, showing surprising hardiness.
