Description

'Madame Butterfly' cytisus is known for it masses of fragrant yellow flowers with red throats floating amongst the grassy foliage in spring. Tolerant of wind, seashore and infertile soil. May not be suitable in all areas; check with your local agriculture department prior to planting.

Thrives in rocky, dry soils - good drainage is a must.

Growing Tips

Cytisus is highly deer resistant and thrives best in dry, sunny conditions. We do not recommend it for the Northwest.
