Description

A cross between New Jersey tea and more tender ceanothus species, Marie Gold® ceanothus graces early summer with clusters of foamy pink blooms and keeps the rest of the season interesting with bright golden foliage. It is an extremely drought tolerant plant that will struggle in poorly drained or frequently irrigated soils.

Thrives in rocky, dry soils - good drainage is a must.

Pruning

Little pruning is required; prune after blooming if desired, though this will remove the attractive red seedheads. Avoid cutting into thick stems unless you are removing them entirely.

Mixed borders, perennials beds.

Growing Tips

A very tidy plant, it works well in perennial beds. Plant in full sun for best flowering. Unique textured foliage is of a uniform high quality for extended interest.
