Soil

One of the most adaptable viburnums. Tolerates wet and dry sites, as well as a range of pH levels.

Pruning

Blooms on old wood - pruning after flowering will remove the potential for berries to develop. Hence, do not trim; simply remove oldest stems every year or so to encourage juvenile growth and abundant flower production.

Uses

Mixed borders; hedges; foundation plantings.

Growing Tips

Pollinator not required to set glossy red fruit.
