  • Long blooming
  • Good hardiness
  • Evergreen foliage
Description

The fresh evergreen foliage is just the beginning of the interest this camellia has to offer; the real magic comes in fall when blooms explode, covering the glossy foliage with an abundance of flowers. The sheer amount of flowers and the length of bloom are the reasons the Warm Hearted™ series is truly the best we've seen. Warm Hearted™ Ruby camellia is packed with highly doubled pinkish-red flowers starting in the fall and continuing on into spring. This strong-growing, long-flowering, and densely branched landscape tree was developed by John Davy of Panhandle Growers in Milton, Florida. John has been growing and breeding camellias for years, and he clearly knows a good landscape plant when he sees one.

Growing Tips

Plant in dappled sunlight for the brightest foliage color. Flowers don't last long as cuts, but the foliage makes a nice filler for arrangements.
