Award-Winning Tradition Continues for Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Roses

Two Proven Winners® ColorChoice® rose cultivars proved their merit this spring, earning Local Artist awards in the American Rose Trials for Sustainability (A.R.T.S.) 2026 rose trials. 

To determine top performers, A.R.T.S. adjudicators evaluate roses for pest resistance, drought tolerance, low maintenance, vigor, and overall beauty across five climate regions in the U.S. To receive a Local Artist award, a cultivar must perform equal to or better than established industry standards in its region. Of the two Proven Winners® ColorChoice® roses included in the latest two-year report, both received awards.

Reminiscent® Coral rose earned a “Local Artist” designation in the Dfa climate region, receiving top marks for its performance. This compact shrub reaches 2 to 3.5 feet tall and wide, making it ideal for garden beds, borders, and landscapes. It’s known for its blousy, bowl-shaped blooms in rich pink-coral tones with a warm copper center. Glossy, dark green foliage stays healthy and vibrant all season. Bred by Pheno Geno Roses in Serbia and introduced to the U.S. by Spring Meadow Nursery in Grand Haven, Michigan, Reminiscent® Coral continues to impress in trials and landscapes alike.

Ringo Double Pink® rose earned a “Local Artist” designations in both the Dfa and Csa climate regions. This compact, mounded shrub reaches 1.5 to 2.5 feet tall and wide, making it a great choice for small gardens, borders, and mixed plantings. Bred by Christopher Hugh Warner in the U.K. and introduced in North America by Spring Meadow Nursery, Ringo Double Pink® is admired not only for its vivid blooms but also for its ornamental hips. Adjudicators commented enthusiastically on this trait, noting: “This plant is setting a large number of attractive hips,” “Hips are adorable looking,” and “Gorgeous hips!
