Along with 'Chicago Hardy', 'Brown Turkey' is one of the hardiest edible fig varieties, producing crops of sweet, luscious brownish-purple figs in early autumn - and twice a year in milder climates. ‘Brown Turkey’ fig is very vigorous and easy to grow, though best sited in protected areas in the colder end of its hardiness range. This Ficus carica is tolerant of drought, heat, and deer.
