- Description
Like the other members of the Double Play® series of spirea, Double Play® Gold spirea was selected for its superior color and excellent landscape performance. Its vibrant gold foliage is much brighter than other gold spirea cultivars, lighting up the landscape from spring through fall. In late spring/early summer, pure pink flowers arrive in abundance, adding to the show. Double Play® Gold Spiraea japonica grows naturally in a compact, mounded shape, with very little pruning needed. This spirea is also incredibly durable, tolerating many soil types, deer, and drought.
