Description

It's finally here! The first-ever dark-leafed weigela with repeat flowering. While not quite as dark as Spilled Wine® weigela, the deep purple foliage provides a wonderful, summer-long contrast to the bubblegum-pink flowers. As an added delight, the flowers, at times, will surprise you with a hot-pink, star-like marking. And they say Easter eggs are only for movies and video games!

Adapts to any well-drained site.

Pruning

Blooms on old wood and new wood. If pruning is required, do so after the spring bloom and allow 8+ weeks for rebloom to occur.

Growing Tips

Late to leaf out in spring. May require a bit of pruning to clean up winter damage - wait until new growth appears to do so.
