Description

There’s a lot to love about this compact, heat-loving shrub with its large red trumpet-like flowers and long summer-frost bloom time. Whether Chicklet Red esperanza (Tecoma stans) is planted in the landscape or garden in the South and Southwest or as a patio or “Decked-Out” plant in the North, the rocking red flowers just keep on coming– and so do the hummingbirds. Like the other members of the Chicklet® series, Chicklet® Red trumpet bush is non-invasive, deer-resistant, and tolerant of drought and heat.

Growing Tips

Shrubby habit needs little pruning or training to develop into a lush, full plant with abundant blooms.
